CrunchCalcs is built to be private by default. There are no accounts and no database of users. This page explains, in plain language, what is and is not collected when you use the site.
The short version
We do not ask you to sign up, and we do not sell or share personal data. The numbers you type into a calculator are processed to show you a result and are not stored on our servers.
What stays in your browser
Calculations run in your browser, so the values you enter never have to leave your device to produce a live result. Small preferences — such as the currency you choose — are saved locally in your browser (using local storage) so the site remembers them on your next visit. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings.
What our server sees
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (for example the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser type). These are used to keep the site secure and working, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Third parties
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers to fetch those fonts; that request can include your IP address and is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. Market figures shown in the homepage ticker are fetched by our server from public data sources — not from your browser — so using the site does not share your data with those providers.
